Design & Features

One of the first things that stands out is the overall feature set. The Pinty Buster comes with:

  • A regulated PCP system
  • 100cc air cylinder
  • 250 bar fill pressure
  • Dual 20mm Picatinny rails
  • Adjustable fiber optic sights
  • Adjustable two-stage trigger
  • Rubber ergonomic grips
  • 1/2x20 threaded barrel for moderators or suppressors

The upper rail makes mounting optics extremely easy, while the lower rail allows shooters to attach accessories like lasers or bipods. The pistol also includes two rotary magazines and a single-shot tray.

The magazines are lightweight polymer designs that are simple to load and operate, although they don’t feel quite as premium as metal magazines.

Chronograph Results

During velocity testing, the Pinty Buster produced surprisingly strong numbers for a compact PCP pistol.

Using 14.66 grain H&N Field Target Trophy pellets, the pistol averaged around 762 FPS. With heavier 18 grain H&N Barracuda pellets, velocities reached approximately 735 FPS, producing close to 22–23 foot-pounds of energy.

That level of power is impressive for a PCP pistol in this price range.

The regulated system also performed very well, delivering roughly 30 consistent shots before falling off the regulator. Considering the pistol uses an 8-shot magazine, that gives shooters nearly four magazines per fill.

Accuracy Test

At 20 yards, the Pinty Buster showed excellent accuracy with tight groupings using H&N Barracuda 18 grain pellets.

Mounted with a compact red dot optic, the pistol handled extremely well and allowed fast target acquisition. During plinking tests at around 25 yards, it consistently knocked down steel spinners, shotgun shells, and small reactive targets with ease.

The trigger definitely helped here. The adjustable two-stage design breaks cleanly with very little creep and measured approximately 3 pounds 8 ounces during testing.

Noise & Suppressor Performance

One thing worth mentioning is that the Pinty Buster is fairly loud in factory form. Without a moderator installed, it may be too noisy for some backyard environments.

However, once a suppressor was added to the threaded barrel, the difference was dramatic. The report became extremely quiet — quiet enough that the action noise was louder than the muzzle blast itself.

For shooters wanting a backyard-friendly setup, adding a moderator is highly recommended.

Shooting Experience

This is simply a fun air pistol to shoot.

The combination of solid power, lightweight handling, adjustable trigger, and impressive accuracy makes the Pinty Buster feel much more refined than its price tag suggests.

The compact size also makes it practical for:

  • Target shooting
  • Backyard plinking
  • Pest control
  • Small game hunting

The regulated PCP system keeps shots consistent, while the ergonomic rubber grips make extended shooting sessions comfortable.

Final Verdict

For shooters looking for a compact PCP air pistol that punches well above its price class, the Pinty Buster is an easy recommendation and easily earns a five-star rating.
