Pinty Vanguard

For the pcp entry level price point, it does extremely well. 4/10ths inch groups at 20 yards with H & N Barracudas and 10 round shot string standard deviation of 2, and extreme spread of 7. It hates lighter pellets, pushing them into the transonic range, effecting stability, at least those are my findings. I am excited to find out if it gets better after the break in period.

I unboxed my new Vanguard, unsure about just what i had bought. But considering the price, it made replacing my old dying Bone Collector with another scope destroying break barrel gun stupid. Well, fit and finish were flawless. Length and weight were a pleasent surprise. I moubted my old UTG bug buster that I thought my springer had brojen, and after learning how to use a hand pump(pant pant)i got it up to about 200 bar. I loaded up a mag and started shoting. Whoa! An 8oz out of the box trigger! Zero recoil! Decent suppressor! A LOT more power hitting a plate than my springer! And 8 shots, 25 yds, Predator Polymag pellets got covered by a penny. Makes me wonder what pellets it may like better. But these expand well and 3 head shots in 15 seconds is good enough! Wish i knew how to post the picture of the target.

I can't say enough good about this little rifle!
Using FX or JSB Hades 15 grain pellets, I am getting 3 full magazines before it falls of the regulator. At 20 yards it is smacking my target then penetrating a heavy industrial fiberglass tote behind it, before sinking into my 2x4 backstop. It's on me, I left my chrony turned on, killed the 9v battery so couldn't check speeds today, but it's obviously pretty good.
I paired my Vanguard with a Monstrum 3x circle dot optic, and it's perfect. This is definitely the best value PCP or any air rifle purchase for the price out there. Can't go wrong for lite duty pesting!

Filled to the recommended and shot a mag. Norma 17.6 over the crony, 768 - 775 seems to favor the 775 readings, I was rapid firing testing mag and reg recovery time., working very well.

Fun gun, shoots good!

I just recently received a 177 Pinty Vanguard, it is a well designed and manufactured air gun. It is very accurate out to 50yds, using OEM Stock Crosman 10.5gr pellets, (Hosp sparrows and Starling) just hate it, when they raid the Cluck Cluck's feed pan.
I will be buying a 22cal Vanguard to go with the 177 cal Vanguard, I have now.
Have over 500+ rds down the tube and nothing has changed, still makes the pest birds fly after the first shot. Very loud with NO silencer.

There was a minor problem with the OEM silencer, I could not get any decent groups using it (2-3" shotgun groups) at 25 yds.
Checked everything and it was a good to go. So I Pulled the silencer off and I am now getting 3/4" groups at 50yds, when I did my part, very pleased with the 177 now.

I like the regulated pressure, very consistent shots @ around 850 fps for the Crosmans 10.5gr pellets. ( I shoot tethered).

MY Major complaint: There is NO CALIBER DESIGNATION stamped/marked on either of my Pinty air guns, for Identification of the caliber.

I can see a problem, when the other Pinty's air guns are received, it will be very hard to make sure you have the correct mags/ammo, with the correct rifle or pistols, when there is NO CALIBER MARKING ON THESE AIR GUNs........
There should be a CALIBER MARKING on these air guns, to reduce the confusion on which caliber, is to go with each air gun.

A semi permanent Caliber, marking sticker would be a great help to avoid any confusion with any owners that have 2 or more of the same model air guns/pistols.

This is the first air gun I have bought, that had NO CALIBER MARKINGS
on the air guns, that I have been using/shooting since 2017!

Well made PCP, especially for the money.

Not my first PCP, but I believe it’s going to be my favorite. Lightweight, easy to fill, and shoots hard and straight. I honestly cant find anything that bothers me about it. Very happy with my purchase!

After a week of shooting, the vanguard has proved to be flawless in performance, it's not too awfully pellet picky and shoots the norma heavy,s (economical in there own right) with dime sized groups at 35 yards. this has become my favorite back yard plinker and has enough speed and energy for small game (tree rats) and light enough to carry all day. Keep up the good work Pinty!!

Nice little rifle, easy to fill up with hand pump, low noise and very accurate. A good rifle for backyard fun.

This Air Rifle is genuinely so cool. For it being my first PCP, it surprised me how quiet it is.

I purchased a scope from pinty and it is a really good scope I'm getting really accurate shots with the scope as well as my pinty rifle worth every penny worth the purchase
